REPUBLIC OF RWANDANATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICE

Private rehabilitation centres are rehabilitation centres owned by Non-Governmental Organisations or the private sector. The National Rehabilitation Service (NRS) is entrusted with the responsibilities to monitor if private rehabilitation centres comply with regulations in place.

To date, NRS has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 14 private rehabilitation centres which rehabilitate male and female delinquents across the country.

Delinquents admitted in private rehabilitation centres are provided with rehabilitation services (psycho-social and medical treatment) as well as different educational programs, in accordance with guidelines regulating those private rehabilitation centres operating in Rwanda.
